LAST CALL doc

Back in 2019, writer Elon Green contacted me about his book “Last Call,” about the murders of four gay men in Manhattan in the early 90s at the hands of a nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital. I provided some background on the bar and hustling scenes of the time.

His book is the basis of the documentary “Last Call: When a Serial Killer Stalked Queer New York” currently airing on HBO MAX. My recorded comments were used in Episode 2 as voiceover content to draw out a picture of Anthony “Tony” Marrero, one of the killer’s victims who engaged in sex work.

The real star of the episode is Antonio, Marrero’s gay nephew, who pushes their reticent family to acknowledge Tony in life and in death.

Thank you for the love.
